I have to agree. Dragonball was more complete in so many ways. Everything had morree.. meaning. As mentioned above, techniques meant SO much more and the tournaments were amazing. Kid goku was so likable. Character development also awesome and the show was hilarious but then a few seconds later you'de get goose bumps from an awesome fight scene. DB all the way.

In Dragon Ball you didn't need to be a saiyan to be a decent fighter.

Dragon Ball > Saiyan and Frieza Sagas > Cell Saga > first half of GT > Buu Saga = Garlic Jr Saga = second half of GT

That is how I have always looked at it. In Dragon Ball the plot was more interesting, the fights were better, the pacing was better, it was way funnier, and the characters were much better developed. It was the superior show in every sense of the word.

It's such a shame how Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Chiaotzu, Piccolo, Yajirobe, Roshi, and Launch were treated in Z and GT.

What was wrong with the Piccolo was treated in Z? That's where he shined the most and also where he developed. Krillin was also pretty good as well aside from his not-so-great moments, other I can understand.

Plus I think the first half of GT were the worst, I hated myself for watching it and I disagree with it being better than the Buu Saga strongly, at least the Buu Saga, although stupid, was enjoyable. The first half of GT felt like it was taking a heavy piss all over Dragon Ball's grave.

Well, in terms of character development and plot, DB>>>>DBZ

However, I found DBZ more entertaining as a fighting anime. DB did have great fight scenes though as well, so I'd put it probably equal to DBZ in terms of how enjoyable it is to watch, if not a bit higher.

It also did not turn the humans into secondary characters, like DBZ sadly did. It's like, all that character development for the humans in DB just.... wasted.
